ixi made a workshop at the School
of Design and Technology at the University of Huddersfield,
where students were introduced to working with various software
for producing sound applications and interfaces for them. Some Lingo
code was distributed for them to start with and the students then
took their own track in developing their own ideas and applications.
The code can be downloaded from the links here below (Right click
to download and save to disk) :
Fade Volume (lingo
code)
Random Queue (lingo
code)
Play Sound (lingo
code)
Quick Time (lingo
code) where this .mov
is needed.
Lingo - Max Communication (lingo
code and Max Patch)
Lingo - Supercollider Communication
(lingo code and SC patch)

An example of an ixi interface controlling a SC sound
engine can be found on the ixi
website. This application, called Picker, uses video and bitmaps
to texturise the stage where four pickers can be put and set into
motion. Those pickers pick up the x, y, and r,g,b values (red, green,
blue) from the stage and send out as OSC information to the SC patch.
